Lonzo sinks back-to-back 3sLonzo Ball knocks down 3-pointers on consecutive possessions for the Lakers.
Ball has appeared to be very comfortable, both on and off the court, for some time now, and it is showing in his game, as he has knocked down three or more treys in five of his past seven games.
“I can shoot,” said Ball, who’ll look to continue his hot shooting as the Lakers face the Heat in Miami on Thursday night. “I just missed at the beginning of the year. I told you I was going to keep shooting, and now they are going in.”
“With the long list of so many great players that have come through this league, in the history of this league, for me to be the only [person] in a category, I think it’s pretty cool,” James said after the Cavaliers’ 129-123 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. “It’s pretty cool. I take pride in my game. I’ve always taken pride in being a triple threat since I started playing basketball, and I never wanted to be labeled as a scorer.
“I always wanted to be labeled as just an all-around basketball player; and I get more gratification out of the assists more than anything, because to get my guys great looks or they’re knocking down shots, that means a lot to me.”
“I can’t wait to get out there and share my ideas.”
As part of the university’s Askwith Forums, Brown is scheduled to engage in a one-on-one discussion with Harvard Graduate School of Education professor Jal Mehta.
The HGSE said the discussion will touch on Brown’s basketball journey. But other topics will include institutionalized sport and education, inequality by design, the role sports play in society and why Brown thinks athletes can — and should — be ready to use their celebrity and prominence to speak up and advocate for change.
On the night before his visit, Brown wasn’t giving any hints as to what he might say.
“You’ll have to be there to see it,” Brown said.
This is Year 5 for Antetokounmpo. A player with Antetokounmpo’s devastating gifts should have begun to iron out his outside shot. But because the Greek Freak is such a devastating finisher, it’s masked his inability to shoot.
